60's & Pizza

What was the name of old pizzeria on corner of 49th and North Avenue near the Uptown Theater during the early 60's? I must have CRS! I only remember Mama Mia's on Burleigh, Mama Mia's on Silver Spring and Ned's on Villard.

Pete and i are pretty sure that the pizzaria you are asking about was Piccilo's, (spelling?)  We remember the really old waitresses that they had that wore really bright red lipstick.  The poor old waitresses were probably nearing forty!  They had great pizza, but no one could match the dripping buttery garlic bread of Mama Mia's.

I remember Ned's Pizza on Villard but Mama Mia's garlic bread is unbeatable.  Living in Columbus WI  now there is nothing to compare with Mama Mia's.

One of the hangouts for pizza was Pete's on 76th and Capital.  Best pizza around.  Was in the neighborhood about a year ago and it was gone!.
