I lived along Lincoln Creek near Sherman Blvd.  It was there that "new" housing went in after WWII including a LUSTRON home.  We moved into one of the two bedroom CAPE COD homes that sold for $14,000 in the day  (1950) and I moved my parents out in 2000.  It is amazing that these small homes were responsible for the lives of so many folks when today we have starter mansions everywhere with big walk in lobbies to greet guests!
